Is this the same association that just got their butt handed to them in court for making up statistics about bad trucks on the road?
-
And who are these guys? Legal professionals?? uh huh ok so are they dot?? or dot certified? Didnt think so, they need to take a very long walk off of a very short pier in my opinion.

yall want to see some junk go to N.C.
-
They DO realized we have like 15 ppl up here?
All kidding aside, A LOT of these "trucking companies" are farmers with one or two truck who registered trucks as a business seperate from the farm. And we all know how pristine farm trucks are.... -
Not to mention exempt from a lot of the DOT regs. I don't think you even need a cdl for them. Good luck going after the farmers. That's one group you do not want to piss off.

Or Idahohohoho!!! -
Why would you even compare it to population, anyways? Trucks in violation per total number of trucks would make more sense.
In Minnesota you don't need a CDL to drive those farm crop trucks. Don't know about ND. -
Oh, I see the problem.

As long as you're hauling your own ag commodity, and are within 150 miles of your farm, you can operate a tractor-trailer with just a Class D operator's license. More and more farmers around here are buying TR/TT outfits instead of the smaller farm trucks. Saves a little money versus paying someone to do the longer hauls (beyond the local elevators) for you.
