got into another truck late yesterday afternoon. other truck was in the shop the whole day. didn't tell me till they were going home that they were waiting for shocks to come in.
licked load up in Irwindale ca and other driver was having issues with his load.
wasn't gonna make it to beaver so we met here.
no my load delivers in.mira Loma for a live unload at 1215 Thursday.
gonna be another long day

 

On the way to Napa CA. Student driving, im about to switch out, just polishing off the last few hrs. Took us forever to get out of phx, but left with 60ft rebar. Truck got a nice fresh service.

 

Looks like I'll be GLR when I come back from home time, for about a month.
My DM called to ask if I could help out in that region for awhile because they are so swamped with loads, and I have been running those loads for the past week anyway.
Chicago area is about 100 loads over again today.

So I'll pick up a load in Lima, OH in the morning headed for IL, then grab one going to MN for my home time.

ended up tcalling that Costco load.
bobtailed to shipper in fontana ca and was told that swift has to bring an mt from now on. asked her( ok... I about begged her lol) to let me in this time.
got lucky and she let me get the load.
me the other driver in beaver ut and since it forecasting snow tonite to tomorrow morning and I still had 3 hrs left I beelined it over here.
this load had an appt for Saturday morning at 8. but l will try and g et it done early tomorrow afternoon. they haven't said no yet on my other tries.

Came down from napa just so we could pickup in Compton and go back to Fremount CA. Which prompted to make my DM make many calls over this tomfoolery. But the VP our Ops manager of the entire division said this load must be covered. And the planner is supposed to take care of us in the morning. We shall see.

We shall pick up as soon as they let us and run it as fast as possible. We have a 1300 pick up and a 1930 delivery. But we were already informed we would be worked in if we don't make delivery time. But im going to call at 5am and find out if we can pickup early.

Much of this is screwy. We shall see if they keep thier word.

Corona virus hysteria has shuttered so many of our customers that Gary is looking to cut 70% of its flatbed fleet and fold them into the van fleets. Phoenix is not yet considering this, but i was informed that. Im safe if they do such a thing.

 

Anyone know wth this is about?

For something like that, im sure there is a good story behind it.

 

doesn't sound like 7 feathers is banning us. but swift is requesting us not to go there.
asked my dl about it and he doesn't know.
says he hate when they give these notices without explanation cause he gets bombarded from his drivers.
