Had to bounce all the way to New Brighton to load this pile..
Headed for Savannah. Gonna try to stack some more on the deck tomorrow..

Hold up in Stewartville, MN for the evening..

 

He lost them in a grain auger at 2 years old. He was reaching in for some wheat and it took both arms off. He's been using his feet for 45 years now.

He does all the things a normal farmer does without the use of arms.

 

Even watching him drive is impressive.... seems to not be held back at all.

Love that he didn’t allow his circumstances to keep him held back in life. Surely he could’ve just rolled over and gotten a disability check while raiding the fridge every morning. Major props to him for still doing what he loves

Alright, I give up. The whole world is coming to an end. The U.S. is the worst country ever, full of idiots and morons. We're all already dead, may as well go home and wait it out.

how much longer before nation wide shutdown and open deck freight goes AWOL?

 

I give it about 2 weeks. As soon as the government cheese is ready to be distributed, it’s over for at least 16 weeks. Probly double.

On a more somber note someone in our little town has contracted it. He is older ( 60 years old ) and not in the best heath. He has been Intabated since Tuesday and it’s not looking good for him. He is a copier repair man and visits several work sites a day up until last Friday. Went to the doctor on Monday and got sent home. Went to the ER on Tuesday. Results back today were positive for the virus.

So it is real. not that it’s going to stop me from doing what ever is needed but just be aware.

 

Welp ok I'll let it slip. Sitting just outside of Nebraska city at this little fuelstop. It was close but made it with minutes to spare on the daylight. Should get into Wyoming if weather permitting tomorrow. My cohorts wimped Out at Petro in oak grove Mo. So ain't waiting on them any longer. Liking the ride so far. Kinda not like in the pay grade for what I'm use too But it will do, so I can pickup my equip. I bought. Got some work coming up down in Florida for the stretch. 35 L x 18 w legal height, legal weight. This new gig works out it will keep me busy till the other stuff bounces back.

 

Gave my last roll to a sad sack down south when I was there. Needed it more than I did. I try and help when I can.

 

If he can get out of bed and earn a living, why can't most other people do it too? I couldn't just laze around waiting for a government cheque.
