Husbands trucking career over:

If I had a choice I would try and find something else to do. It's going to suck having to start all over again in a different job but in the long run it will work out for the best.

 

I have had the same problem with to many jobs. I didn't have 4 in 1 yr but I have had 6 in last 5 years no tickets, no accidents, nothing! I feel your pain...

 

I got a good driving job...local...I can make $700 -$1000 a week...but no one like me...so my lips are sealed...

 

Some trucking companies are creeps. I am having a hard time too because last 2 companies fired me. Let me explain best I can .Last one another driver with co. & I had to switch trailers. Ok fine. But because I didn't want to spend the night in his truck, he took pics of a slightly bent fering & a branch scratch & sent it to co. via cell. one before that me & a team member were late with 1 load after 1 week . Reason: to go 6 hours 1 way to retrieve 1 of their abandoned trucks. these are reportedly "good" companies. Fleet of about 150 each. I'll tell you, should I have spent the night with that driver? I often wonder if I'd still be there. Now, companies are also not wanting to hire me, regardless of my good record. But, I still have to try & tell others don't give up. trucking is ok & I have had 2 good previous jobs. One co. shut down, the other was with o/o . they were honest. I now want to go with another o/o if I can find a nice one! Let me know!
