I wasn't expecting so much great feedback. What great people hang out here. I'm longing to get back on the open road. I've been looking at my photo albums (digital in the laptop of course) and feeling like I've lost the love of my life. I haven't even hooked my XM radio up for months because it doesn't go well with city driving (imho).
It's a bit misguided, but it's part of the reason I have been resenting my soon to be ex boss. He has taken me away from what I love.
I reminded myself that he doesn't run my life. I do, and God.truckguy391, austinmike, Vic Firth and 3 others Thank this. -
Hey how's it going man, sorry for that downturn with your current company. Chinatown mentioned Climate Express, if you would like, I can PM you the details and we can chop it up a little bit.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Ive got a couple of trucking companies that were truly bad. And they imploded and went out of business permanently. I would not cheer too loudly but it did serve them right for being so bad.
I miss the sea in the Atlantic thats where I come from. However the entire USA is my home. IF I wanted to live in Nevada it would be in the western half of the state away from Vegas. Where it's quieter. Spouse and I discovered one town when we stopped to get lunch there. Just quiet and peaceful in between storms coming off that Sierra which is the main thing in making sure you have 6 months on hand before winter. I don't do well with California but they are over there and Nevada would be over here without all the expenses and taxes etc. Did I say it was quiet?
thats the draw for us anyway. Maybe someday. But not just yet. We are working to help a relative who is dying in her old age trying to see that she enjoys life while she is with us. After she passes on then Nevada and other places become possible.
We do have some places in the Ozarks where people move to and generally it's really quiet where they are unfortunately down here in the South it's got the taxes and so on. Which is why Nevada has a advantage. We like our quiet. But we don't want to pay through the nose for it. -
