Stranger slaps crying toddler in Wal-Mart

I don't have children, thank god. But if I did, and some stranger took it upon themselves to slap my kid, I'd break the dude's arms and tie them into a bow knot behind his head, and to heck with the law!

 

Yeah, I've wanted to. On occassion. But I have a deeper desire to slap the snot outta the parents who refuse to teach their children appropriate behavior in public. It is the parents' job to raise their children, not mine. I hate the parents who can not, or will not take responsibility for their children.

 

That old man would have been on his ### in about one second if he would have tried that with one of my kids.

 

For once we agree.


That man did nothing more or less than assault a child. There is no excuse for it, no reason and I sincerely hope he is severely punished by the law.

It is never "our" right to strike someone else's child. He was the adult, he could have removed himself from the store, complained to management or he could have acted like an adult and controlled himself.

I do know that if anyone laid a hand on MY grandbabies they'd be real sorry because this old lady would go apecrazy.

I was thinking about this exact thing...

 

At two years old, there are many reasons, none of which are associated with bad parenting BTW, why a child would cry uncontrollably. Tired, hungry, maybe even, just like an adult, having a "bad day".

That man would not have made it to jail without being"slapped 4-5 times" himself, and then some!! If it were to have happened in front of me. I may have gone to jail, but I bet a good lawyer could get the charges against me dropped, as I would have been acting in the defense of a two year old.
