because when he called the number. the driver said oh can i speak to the manager. the manager could have be joe blow from customer service. but not the actual store manager or the actual co manager. like i said before. there are signs in the parking lot and on the light poles. if you choose to disobey them. then its 100% your fault. no different then breaking a city, county or state law.

A guy in Conyers Ga services 60 Wal-Mart's in the Atlanta area. His lowest rate is $450.00 to remove the boot.I personally know an owner operator that got burned for $2.700 cause he called him Thanksgiving day and cursed him. They charge what they want.

10-4 this got me so mad this morning I've been writing email complaints all day. It just infuriated me because I started thinking what if this had happened to me? What O/O can just cough up $3,300 for a boot removal? Whether he was able to park there or not.

Why can’t I ever come in contact with guys like this? I’ll pay the 8000 dollar bill after I get out of jail. But it’ll be so worth it knowing there’s two scammers breathing through tubes

    Again these people strike.

    Was it posted?

Was there any indication of a no overnight or truck parking?

Was the towing company contracted for that parking lot?

    Did they contact the police?

We’ve run into this before, many times. I pay the ‘fine’ with a credit card, once the boot is off and the truck is off the property, I immediately call the credit card company up to tell them that this charge was an extortion payment, tell them just enough to get the charges put on hold telling them I will send them details after I contact the police. I send a letter to the states licensing agency and the ag of the state. I have had to only one charge on my credit card, the others were never disputed by the towing companies.

This is what a tow truck driver told me.
    In these words
“ big trucks. Big bucks” they see all of these people with money and hear from all of these company owners about how much money they make. And they take advantage of it.

And I'm sure tow business is slightly down with stay at home orders but still no excuse.
