I fully agree! Especially with the "come back" of old trucks, a lot of us younger folks haven't seen/dealt with certain components (such as air accessories etc). Deleting these threads would essentially be deleting knowledge that some folks need

I see you have been a forum member for almost a year, but only have 7 posts! HOW DO YOU DO THAT? I'm betting you are not shy...
-
My t800 will do this when the arms are starting to tear, they break near the base.
-
I generally get all the info I need by reading others posts. When I feel I have something I can add, someone generally beats me to it lol
Big Don Thanks this. -
I went to loves with this problem. The guy said he never heard of that. Took the arm off. Put it back in. Charged me $120 & it’s still a problem.
-
But mine is on the drivers side. Blade doesn’t touch the windshield at all. It’s worthless in rain/snow
-
Had this happen to me a while ago combined with the problem the OP had.
The pivoting points were worn out, had to be replaced and also put a new wiper arm on on the drivers side. Works like new now.PE_T Thanks this. -
Try a smaller blade with a smaller contact area. The "springy" part of the wiper arm will do a better job if the wiper blade is smaller. It's an issue on newer trucks, especially newer trucks with aftermarket windshield glass.
22-24 blades are a joke unless you have a virgin windshield, even then it's questionable in freezing rain.
RIP Gears. You are still here.
Big Don also. -
I had a similar problem. Check out this thread:
