Possibly looking for a t680. ive found a few 2017s with under 300k on them. How are people liking the auto trans? Kinda strange how it’s got like a car shifter. From my understanding they are 10 speeds?
Ate the paccar engines still terrible and should be avoided?

An automatic transmission is just another electronically controlled piece of equipment they can go bad on you.

So the mx13 and a 10/13 speed would be the way to go? It seems like the manuals are hard to find. I wanted to atleast look at the autos and see how they drive

Company I work for has mostly bought glider kits (Pete and KW), but has also been buying new trucks for the last 2 years.
The T880s are MX13s with automatics, typically, and the 389s are MX13s with 13 speed manuals. They’re happy with the MX13 over the X15. They have a few of the X15s also, but the Paccars are the only ones they’re now buying. So it appears the MX isn’t as awful as it was a few years ago.

    alds Thanks this.

The 12 speed auto is a great transmission.
As for the Paccar, I have never had an issue in 300k miles.
