What kind of injectors should I put in my 5ek e model cat. Not sure on ecm file. Feels like a 550. (Also curious about a good file) Borg stage 1 turbo yj 650. Getting 36 boost with some aftermarket 600 injectors. I’ve just been fighting them a lot since a rebuild 25k miles ago. Two stuck open, not sure why and not at the same time so I been in the motors 3 times in 25k miles.... so let’s here what we got!?

Signal injector in Cali. They covered the stuck injectors. Can be hard to keep in touch with but pretty nice ma pa shop. Trying to keep the down time down so ordered 2 spares and one misfired the truck straight from the box. I know three people running them with no problems.
Their markings were 600hp or 10r 1120.
the threads I viewed here were dated back awhile so looking for some fresh input -
I don't know how they can give a horse power number to an injector. It all comes down to what program is in the ECM. I've never seen that with cat injectors. Its usually tip size and or CCs per stroke.
You get what you pay for .Diesel Dave, SAR, pushbroom and 1 other person Thank this. -

Yep, a 10R-1120 is reman gear drive group for a C7 oil pump. First, what injector did engine come with and what is current flash file.

10r-8501 injectors
I just had them plug in, 5ek32147
475/1750
Flash file 1349733-02
I thought it had more.
Cat wants $611 for a reman. $ 815 depending on core.
I’m going for good reliable power. Mainly pulling 100-105k poundsLast edited: Mar 30, 2020

As long as your engine has the internal hard parts to handle the extra power I would go with 10r8502 injectors.
If your engine is a factory 475 and can be uprated to 550 from cat with just software then you likely have the steel top pistons.
These injectors along with your 475 file should give you a good bump in power. About 100 hp more then you got with the 10r8501 injectorsDiesel Dave, SAR, pushbroom and 2 others Thank this. -
I second @swaan. If going 58's/8502, I would go brand new Cat or set of flow matched ones. Flow matched will flow a little more than a stock one. I recommend these guys Diesel Controls, Inc.
