I've never loved living in Austin so much. OTOH, just got back from the Nashville area and it looks almost like business as usual.
Where did everyone go?

Ive listened to so many ideas, and they just arent going to work. More roads, express lanes, more toll roads, choo choo trains, monorail... No please stop. Telecommunting, easy and effective.
More roads is all well and good but thats only barely going to keep up with growth. We need to remove required daily travel where ever its possible.
People can save about 3 hours of their free time not sitting in traffic just getting to work and back.
This isnt isolation im pushing, people can still go out after work. Its giving working people more free time. Thats good for everyone and good for mental health.aaronpeterbilt3787 and spindrift Thank this. -
Yeah, veeve GOT to get beyond building more roads. We're a modern society for Chris's sake. You build more roads and the traffic will fill those roads. There's not a single place in this country where development hasn't caused that to happen.
I believe one thing will definitely come out of this pandemic. Employers with big, fancy, and costly real estate holdings will begin to realize that they don't need those big, fancy, costly buildings. Honestly, I wouldn't want to be in the real estate biz when we finally come out the other side of this thing.aaronpeterbilt3787 and 650cat425 Thank this. -
