This isn't really a good time for anyone to be spending money on anything but their family and living needs.

My wife does the bookwork for our business, and she's told me the least of her worries when it comes to paying bills is the truck payment. When I bought my first truck that was my biggest worry though, and is for most new owner operators.
Here's a few things to think about.
A new truck will make probably a mile and a half to a gallon better than a old pre emission truck, which is nearly a truck payment right there. A new truck will have a lot of depreciation so you will not have to pay much at all if any taxes at the end of the year, which can also be almost a truck payment. A new truck hopefully and most likely won't give you the little problems and downtime of an older truck that can also quickly amount to a truck payment. If a new truck breaks down at least it has warranty to pay for it.
Just some of the things i've learned in my few years of owning a truck.Eggroll'n Trucker and 13'trucker Thank this.
