Safety reasons for sure, friend of mine was changing brakes and somehow jack slipped and axle dropped and he broke his arm instantly, yeah you got to be very careful working around trucks.

The last transmission expert I talked to told me that that's the way transmission is supposed to react when I preselect and that I'm driving it like the 18 speed but it's a 13 speed.
So I asked can you please explain to me how is 13 speed supposed to be driven, and he said he is a mechanic not a driver and he doesn't know but by me asking him that question he thinks that I don't know how to drive at all...Bean Jr. Thanks this. -

I'll say it again.
Have your transmission shop change out the regulator on the rear of trans.
If you have full 120 psi air pressure going to the splitter or range selector you will get same symptoms.
I mentioned earlier in this thread and no says a thing. -
I read what you said, but I don't know if thet did or not, I am going to guess not. Next week I'm taking my truck to them again and I will tell them to check everything you guys mentioned here.
Thank you for your advice, deeply appreciated -
If the regulator looks original and was never changed out I would just put a new one on and go from there. Perty easy swap.
SAR and Chubby Fly Thank this. -

Every reman or transmission I get from my gear shop comes complete with all new air lines and regulator every time. No screwing around. Air pressure is crucial on these transmissions. Too much and gears get forced in to early and get damaged. Too little and splits or range shifts lag to long and gears get missed . Even air line ID makes a difference. Eaton had a tsb not to long ago out about that.
clausland, SAR, tommymonza and 2 others Thank this.
