2011 Freightliner Cascadia - Uneven Cab Height

    Hi guys,

    I'm posting on behalf of my father, so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

    My dad's Cascadia has been riding lopsided with the driver's side stooping lower than the passenger side. He said he has switched the springs to brand new ones and still, nothing has changed. Do you guys know what may be causing the issue? It is resulting in his tires getting worn out faster and nobody wants to pay more than they have to. If you guys need any more info please let me know.

    did he do both sides of springs. also thats a spring hanger shackle i believe. it looks cracked

    Look at the FT. spring, rear spring hanger they can wear out till they are bottomed out on frame rail?

    Spring hanger bracket, spring hanger ( shackles), spring hanger pins, spring hanger (pin) bushings. New bushings and any worn parts mentioned should have been replaced, when new springs were installed. Assuming everything’s good, Other causes are bent (twisted) frame, usually caused from a previous accident. Or missing shims or wrong sized shims/ spacers between the spring and the axle. Different size shims on each side is common, even on new Trucks. A slight twist in the frame isn’t a problem, usually can be fixed by shimming the front axle. Unless it’s twisted so much that shims won’t work. Might want to check king pins too. I had that problem on my first Truck, First we put extra shims, then spring snapped. replaced the spring. Still had problem, Ended up on a frame rack for a week. Truck had been previously wrecked. But straightened it back, good as new.
