OUCH, They must have had to catch the fish before they loaded them and they gave-up at 2 pallets.
-
I feel for you, that is so uncalled for. We get detention pay after 2 hours, the most I usually wait is 1 hour, 45 minutes. It's like they know.

The boat ran out of gas and no bait left. There probably drinking beer and waiting for a tow in.

You have that right.....
Some of them even print the time in and out on the BL...
There goes my "split bunk" time.....######.....
My favorite is you have a "Just In Time" load and you show up a half hour before or earlier....6 hours later...you're still waiting for the first pallet to come off......
I'm glad I don't have electronic logs.....

I never seem to have that problem...I just start acting like I'm gay...and they get rid of me right away...
-
Be careful....You might "Get lucky"........

Try going to Portside Trucking warehouse in Kent Washington, i hauled 2 or 3 loads out of there, you get dispatched around 8 or 9 am then go over to Portside to find out you wont be loaed till 9 or 10 that night, and the company i worked for wouldnt pay detention on it. Portside spends all day loading their trucks going in and out, then one of their trailers has to come in loaded to put in your trailer. I wont ever go there again, they carry seafood as well as steaks and other meat.

sounds like the banana dock in charleston s.c. hurry up & wait, after all the east coast drivers are loaded.
