    Hello Drivers,

I’m starting to look into purchasing my first truck to start a business. I’ve looked into getting a 2012 cascadia Freightliner compared to a 2010 International Prostar with a Cummins engine. I’m stuck between the two also I’ve considered a 2012 Volvo VLN630. Can someone shed some pros and cons on what to go with please. I’m looking to purchase this weekend.
    Thanks and be safe.

I would go to Vegas and after the hookers and blow are paid for put the rest down on red, you have better odds then buying a ten year old rode hard and put up wet emissions truck

mid to late 90s truck with an n14 or a Detroit you can pay for in cash is what I would be looking for

Volvo good until you have engine problem.
    International engine is the problem.
Cascadia good but buy a newer model make sure it manual
100k mile trucks are the best.

If you aren't mechanically inclined and have no access to at least scan for engine codes, I recommend you buy new and not look into a 400k plus mileage truck...

If your serious and just have to do it, wait a while, watch prices fall off a cliff shortly. Buying one right now is a recipe for disaster. Too much uncertainty. I’ve never discouraged anyone, you’re the first to hear that from Me. Plenty of time to plan and buy wisely. Untill you know exactly what kind of Truck you want. Your not ready anyway. Good start though gathering info. My choice would be Freightliner, Volvo, and the 13 letter #### spreader never ever consider it. Personally I would buy a Coronado, or Western Star. That’s just Me. A better choice in comparison to the Trucks your considering would be a KW 680 or the similar Pete. 2007-2016 were bad years for emission problems. Research your choices. Avoid a lot of headache.I won’t be surprised to see fleet Trucks 2-3 yrs old for half the price of new, with remaining warranty soon at Dealers lots.
