Believe everything you hear? And if so, there's always more to the story. It's like when Chevy tells you you can lease a new Corvette for $399 a month.

Grossing $12k a week sounds like a lot of money...
    before fuel
    before permits
    before pilot cars
    before police escort
    before maintenance cost
    before taxes.

Forgot to mention that quite a few places will hit you for a couple hundred bucks just to set up your trailer.

AModelCat, JonJon78, cke and 1 other person Thank this.

Yeah. And maybe his truck and trailer cost a half a mil. And its usually the best week not average.
There are many truck drivers that like to stretch the truth just to impress.
Always check multiple sources before making big decisions.

I do not believe a Truckdriver would lie. Never ever heard of such a thing. You must be thinking of some other group of people.

That’s why I was asking here. $12k seems like a lot, but expenses are higher than flatbed too, so I’ve no idea what net on that would look like.

What you need to do is gather alot of information over time. Cross check that information and build a business model from that. Also hedge on the conservative side to compensate for inevitable variances. Make sure your personal obligations can be satisfied. And if you decide to move forward, be prepared to work your butt at least at the beginning.

What was not mention was the load/dimensions. That will determine more of the net amount.
width/height means money. Permits, and truck expenses.

LS is going to take their cut FIRST.

    12 knocked down to 9000
    Permits/Escorts could be $4000
    Fuel could be 2000

    sounds like $3000 to me.
