The law says a lot of things about the trucking industry that any veteran driver knows are ignored. Why so much support for an industry that has a history of breaking the rules.
I work in the industry and accept these things. Its UN-American to attack anyone who wants to change a system that excuses abuses on its employees because "THIS IS THE WAY ITS ALWAYS BEEN". That's Ignorant.

That does not make one ignorant.
Ignorance can also be attributed to those that do not follow the rules and laws. But name calling and personal attacks fail to accomplish getting information out.
It is fine that you object and I believe you will have a major fight to try and change this. It has been brought on by the insurance industry and government regulations. -

Thank You!Gitty Thanks this. -
There is no name calling and personal attacks here. By boasting the status of your signature line, it shows you are more worried about EGO and not about the reality surrounding the trucking industry. Your signature line doesn't mean much anyway. I have a Bachelors in Computer Science and access to a million IP Addresses so I guess I have ALSO found a way to voice my opinion without repression.

You have a degree, you think others don't? -
hi,i recently filled out a cdl school application for training too get my cdl, after i filled it out[like a week later] i realized i had forgot about having my license suspended back when i was 18[30 day suspension]that was 24 years ago,i did'nt put that on the application, what should i do ?
-
Most likely since you were 18 and it was 24 years ago, it is not relevant. -
they told me they could get my "lifetime" driving record im in maine,so i called my dmv office and my dmv says it is impossible too get ANY maine drivers record older then 10 years, how does the trucking companies do it,I WANT TOO SEE MY RECORD TOO,ESPECIALLY IF ITS LIFETIME,and i dont have a dac report i have never held a cdl

The states only provide the information as stated. I know insurance companies have some records. Maybe it is through them. -
Dude,
The president of the United States admitted to doing cocaine. Because you were suspended 24 years ago does not make you a second class citizen. Chances are, this has been deleted from your MVR. I think the country would rather have you working than out committing more 'DRIVING' crimes. Depending on the state, the insurance companies usually only consider driving offenses less than 3 years old. Unless its a DWI/DUI. But, make sure to check your state and your current MVR. We need more competent drivers in the industry. Let your competence speak for itself...Drive safe...
