On a personal level I care about other truckers, as I am one. But one thing I’ve learned in the year and a half I’ve been out here? Nobody truly gives a you know what about truck drivers. They didn’t even mention us in the stimulus package they just passed. And guess who’s keeping this country alive right now? Truck drivers. Absolutely no respect whatsoever. Yes I’ve been to shippers and receivers just as you described. They got their shields up in their masks on and their gloves and they question you where you’ve been,
But they make 6 to 8 truck driver stand packed in a little 8 x 10 room. No hand sanitizer, no nothing.

I don’t believe you have to have underlying conditions for this to get you anymore: lots of younger people are dying from it now. There was a Good Morning segment that was with the widow of a 40 year old teacher who recently died from it...

well i dunno...true, anyone can get this. however, all i can relate is too, what i have read or seen on tv, that the odds of dying are far greater if one has an underlying health problem.

question to you, where are you working now? (or who are you with, after Celadon closed?

you can PM me the answer if you wish, rather than announce it here.

I’m working... not sure how to PM... after we shutdown and I did a few truck recoveries for a few days then started somewhere to get away from the whole mess... not quite feeling at home here; but, it’s a job... lol

i will send you a PM, wait a few minutes, and you will see the "inbox" at the top, next to your name, it'll have (i think) a number 1, letting you know you got something

    be right back

ok, you do not allow PM's (or conversations) can't send you a PM.

but anyway's, i worked for Highway Express out of Richmond, VA, and the Groomstown RD terminal in Greensboro was our terminal. just wanted to know if with Celadon you had been there, and ever met the TM, "Dave"(??), he had an older German Shepard dog.
