I had the same issue a cure on my 389 Peterbilt. I found it to be the fuses in the panel in the footwell. The bottom row of fuses were burnt out. Take the bottom row of fuses out and clean the panel with a toothbrush to remove corrosion on the panel then replace with new fuses. That should work . It did for me.

Did anyone find a solution for this? My radio/nav display unit was turning on for about 30 mins after starting the truck but now it wont turn on at all. I can see the radio unit has power and all the backlit lights turn on when I turn the ignition key. Even the CD eject button works when pressed, but Nav display unit doesnt come on. I checked the fuse on the footwell area (fuse #R18 10Amp) and it's working. I pulled the stereo unit out and all the wires seems to be in good condition. Please let me know if anyone knows how to fix this. Thank you

Like Ten I See said , I had a brand new 680 that did the same , delivering dealer could not fix it , when I was in Indianapolis I took it to Palmer and they fixed it all. , you had to have WIFI to hook head unit to , weird.

I believe you can do the update via your smart phone as well as long as you have the data transfer cord.
That being said, this smartnav unit sucks.
It freezes all the time, gets stuck on Bluetooth when their is no call coming or going.
Then I have to reset it while driving, to do so, hold in the volume button and the home button on the lower unit for appx 30 seconds and it will reboot.
Also, it likes to automatically change the fade to the front speakers only, as well as it will just brighten the screen on its on in the dead of night while driving.

I am having the same issue with a 2015 379. Have tried pretty much everything posted on here and elsewhere with no luck. Anyone have another idea? Really do not want to pay $1,700 for a new unit.

Sorry, I haven't been on in a while. It ended up being the lead power wire from the key to the fuse block. It had been pulled out at some point (from the crimp on the key switch) which is not surprising because I had 100 Tech's in my truck the first year I owned it. One of them yanked the wire out at some point.
