Thank You

Everyone wins when the wheels are turning.

A Subaru passed me on I-84 today in Boise and it had a sign that said, « thank you truckers », and that meant something to me. And thank you, too. We all have a roll in holding it together in these times.

 

We all try to do our part.
But as truck stops stop offering showers and laundry rooms, how long can that last?

It isn't too often, yet. But what if more of them do it?

I will not stay out here if I can not shower when I need to or wash my clothes when I need to.
That is not safe for anyone.

 

I'd prefer to be on vacation like the non-essential employees, but nobody asked me. I do like the lighter traffic & less crowded truck stops.

 

I can't vouch for the truckstops.

But it's definitely nice not having to get up at 2 a.m. just to beat the morning and evening traffic.

 

I had a woman stop by my truck as I was watching it get unloaded, rolled down the window said thank you wearing a dust mask and then drove off

 

Amen to that!

 

sad part is, that after this goes away, so will the thanks.

 

Well even truckers need truckers ,we buy all the stuff regular people buy and we need all the stuff regular people need so thank you truckers hammer down and be safe God bless.

 

So far, I have yet to see any truck stops closing down shower or laundry(if they have that). Seating areas and “lounge” areas, yes. All food service is take out only. Can live with that.
