That's all? Hell, that describes 99% of the DCCP pool wheels in Denver.

By the sound of this gals last post, sliding tandems is the least of her worries. Wonder what her "illness" turned out to be?

Intermodal is a tough sector of trucking....easily my least favorite. More often than not, chassis needs repair. I would think think the bigger companies that have the intermodal division would be easier since they have their own chassis. Judging by this thread, maybe not lol

If I was to stay in it, I was going to have my own aluminum spread axle chassis. I think you could make it, if you could get those schmoes to do a lift. That was the only plus with a rail chassis, you could just leave.

Still like that. The company I'm leased to bought 3 or 4 of their own 40' chassis. Couple guys were using them but have stopped. Think it was the wait time for a lift. Not positive. On the plus side you don't have to look for a good chassis..once the box is popped. Also quite alot of our freight is drop and hook. Leave that great company chassis and it will disappear into the sunset.

No I sure don't. Intermodal is much different. Think someone asked before in a thread? I have never seen just a individual, with one truck doing intermodal.( with their own authority) Not saying it hasn't been done. I have only been in it 19 years.

You have to do a couple hits,
    Shake down a couple business,
Bust up a few knee caps.
    Intimidate and push around truckers.

Then maybe, The Godfather's will let you
    Become a made man.
Then, and then only, will you be able to share
In the wealth of getting direct intermodal freight.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
