If you are intrastate in North Carolina can you cross into south Carolina as long as you can get back to your home in north Carolina the same day?

Any time you cross a state line, for any reason, you have entered the interstate commerce zone.

Specifically, anytime the load crosses state lines it's interstate. The driver doesn't matter, the load does.

    Intrastate, STAY in your lines.

Only in a coloring book you can go beyond the line.

As soon you put a wheel on any state line and tip toe across its interstate.

One time My trailer was in canada against the bent fence at Ethan Allen in Beecher Falls about 20 yards from their customs house off a two lane. My tractor was still in America when I hooked on under the watchful eye of 4 customs.

I asked permission to cross into back of trailer that was in Canada to check seal. They waved and told me to hurry up. Like i was going to go anywhere north from there.

Which is why Roadway built a 135 door terminal in Lake Park GA. Back in the day, they didn't have inTRAstate authority in Florida, so they'd move the stuff to Lake Park, and turn around and deliver it the next day in Florida.

You're good as long as you get back before you leave.
