I guess if you are semi-retired and don't have any desire to see your home with only getting 2500 miles per week this may be the company for you. I understand that when you talk to these recruiters you should expect a little lying but these people blew enoungh smoke up my butt I think I now have colon cancer. They said .38 per mile for the first 2400 miles .50 per mile after that 3000 miles a week no problem. I just spent 5 weeks out trying to give them every oppurtunity to live up to their word but I guess their word is just that words. They now have three minute shutdowns on their trucks I was sitting waiting on a red light the other day just as it turned green the truck shut off what a way to operate. 1 truck wash every other month and when you need to get home for say a doctors appointment even though you give them five weeks notice that you need to be home on this day it becomes an event. Look I am not going to say this company is not for everyone but if you have a family to support it just doesn't fit the bill.

You are right they do blow alot of smoke. We should take a vote on the worse company for the year. I think Link America would WIN!
ladyrebell Thanks this. -
What type of driver stays and works for this company, which from personal experience with a friend who leased on as an O/O was lied to endlessly. He couldn't leave soon enough.
ladyrebell Thanks this. -
Everyday I thank God that the o/o opportunity did not work out with LinkAmerica!! Found a great company that after 3 weeks let him come home immediately for a serious health situation with me. They have been so wonderful so far. He went back to work today after 2 weeks and they have not wasted a minute getting him running.

I have called so many companies to lease on with. They agree to send a contract to me, and it never comes in the mail, or they failed to tell the complete truth of the contents of their contract. Either way when they cannot be up front from the beginning they are not a company I want to lease on with.
The good companies right now are either going out of business or not hiring because they are taking care of the drivers they have.
As soon as I can find a company that has not deceived me about their contract, or how many drivers quit each week I will put my truck on with them immediately.
I didn't say how long I have had my truck on with this company, and yes one week is much to long.
Everyone's circumstances are different we all do what we have to just to survive these hard times.
Stay safe and thanks for your comment. -

You have a truck, if you were business smart you would run your own entire operation by yourself. Who would lease a truck nowdays to any company. They all haul the same freight, 85 percent being brokered. And brokers will assign freight to o/o with ontime delivery and as far as payment goes, if you had the right fuel account they can download your settlements instantly on your fuel account, if not then factor your freight bills at 1.5 percent and keep trucking. Yes its easy and very smart. But you have to know what your doing. Key point, if you dont, you dont need to own a truck making someone else rich off your hard work.

I worked for them for 4 months and only made $4000 for the whole time. That bald nut running safety is one of the biggest arses I have ever come across. This company is just as unprofessional and disorganized as FFE.

This company doesn't only lie straight off the bat from the beginning, but they could care less about their driver's safety. Their only concern is getting the load there on time, it doesn't matter to them if the driver is able to follow the required DOT rules and get at least 8hrs of sleep a night. My husband if and when he was lucky would get maybe 3-5 hours of sleep in any given week. They short hopped him back to back 300-466 mile runs which was totally ridiculous. I advise any driver to stay away from this company. Not too mention they have an extremely poor safety score, a major turnover rate, and do not take care of their equipment. Just about every trailer my husband had to hook up to he had to work on. Not too mention, if an accident occurs, my husband received 2nd degree burns from his head to his lower abdomen due to poor maintanence and overfilling the radiator. They covered up the whole thing, it wasn't reported to DOT, nor was my husband taken care of properly. They picked him up at the hospital 6 hours after he was released, dropped him off at a motel, didn't even take him to get his prescriptions filled and if I didn't drive from Florida to Houston Texas they would have left him stranded. Please unless you are totally desperate (even if you are) please look elsewhere for your own safety. It is so bad DOT is forcing them to go to electronic logs
