I did a lot of research on C12's when I was looking at a truck to pull a dump trailer. There's a lot of highway construction going on in Arkansas and most of it is anywhere from 10-70 miles one way from the quarry. What I found out from my research was, the C12 is an excellent engine for the proper application. Local trucking in a reasonably flat area is a proper application. It's fair at best on power, it's good on fuel economy, and very good on service life.
Chubby Fly Thanks this. -
What's wrong with the ECM?
If you want to uprate, you're wasting your time if you've got mechanical issues. Figure out if its running properly first before you waste money on a tune. -
I fixed the turbo issues truck runs better but I know it can do way better
-
All I was getting at was tuning a sick engine is not going to make it run better.pushbroom Thanks this.

I understand that. I check everything from fuel lines to the intercooler and it’s piping.
