I would leave it.
But then, I have turned down every offer for dedicated stuff.
I say 'stuff', when I actually mean crap.
Some people like it, and you may as well.
But I like strictly dry van OTR with no circles or strings attached.
I like some say in where and how I run. With dedicated there is none of that.
Tight schedules, often at very odd hours, with little time to simply relax.
If you like stress in your life, go for dedicated.bzinger and Western flyer Thank this. -
That’s exactly what I’m not looking for! Swift promised me a brand new truck and that really made me a little weary as to what I might be getting into! I’m supposed to go to Memphis Sunday to pick up the truck but I still don’t feel right about it!

You think they are straight about being home on weekends? I have two new grandchildren that I kinda like spending time with!
-
Copy and paste from your other thread...
Getting home on the weekends could mean delivering at 2300 Friday and being back in the seat exactly 34 hours later.
Sunday at 0900. Then run your 70 out until next Friday night.
Frightful schedules most times with dedicated.
That is not the weekend off, it is one day of late getting home and then early to rise. All of it hectic.
I would rather spend 4 weeks out here and then take a solid 3 days at home.
That means getting home on Friday, at whatever time, and going back at the time I set for my PTA - which would be 1000 on Tuesday.
That gives a LOT more time to relax and just take it easy.
And be with family, I might add.Western flyer Thanks this. -
Ask your contact about the home time. They should be able to get you a solid answer. There definitely are those that will only get you home for a 34 but lots of others will get you home Friday thru Sunday. -
Freight apparently has dried up with my company... like a faucet... off. A week ago they were begging for drivers. Second day in a row I’ve gotten a message... freight soft in your area. GP pulls those much needed paper products. IDK... might consider the big picture, whatever that is these days.

Do not take the job until you ask them and Swift answers.
Write all your questions down call the recruiter that you have been dealing with. If the recruiter cannot answer your questions, ask to speak to someone from the operation. if they fail to do any of those things, then move on.
Make sure that you write down the name of the people, and the date and time that you spoke with them. -
I would rather email all the questions you have and get the answers on record before taking the job. Better this way.

I really appreciate each piece of advice and I definitely will be asking and emailing due to all the negativity I have I have heard and read about Swift. I try to keep an open mind but when there are so many reviews are negative I just can’t ignore all that ! Safe driving to all of you and may God bless each of you!
