Right... I won't be much of help on this one... but I guess the trailer has its own ecu?

Chased all the wiring down? Checking for chaffing or rubbed through wire?

Could be the ecu/ECM, I had one on the truck that constantly faulted a sensor low voltage short to ground. Replaced the ECM (after troubleshooting for a while),code was gone instantly. Maybe it had an internal short

Did you drive it? Sometimes they need to see wheel speed before a fault will clear.

    HopeOverMope Thanks this.

This is my code for mine. My abs issue has been going on for like 2 yrs. Its intermittent and will come on and go off when it decides too. Very annoying .

Could be a bad sensor, or part of the wire harness is open somehow. If the sensor leads can be unplugged without taking the wheel off, you can hook up a new sensor, one at a time, to each position with that Diagnostic machine hooked up, if one of the sensors are causing the open circuit, the code will go inactive soon as you replace the right one with the new sensor.

A brand new sensor on that wheel was replaced last June. The light stayed off long enough to get my inspection done but a block later it was on again. The code that was showing is for the same wheel

Try pushing the sensor in against the hubs tone ring. Maybe your wheel bearings are loose.
