Don't go out with Mr Angry. He can darn well take the truck out alone.
Make a case of it with your superiors. Be firm and DOCUMENT everything on paper in writing in detail as you go just in case it does not go well.
What if...

But I'll say this, jumping companies as a new driver still in training won't change your situation unless you get lucky. If you step back a min and realize that what you're going through in the grand scheme of things isn't that bad and if you can put up with this now, it makes future issues easier to handle.
I still get pissed at little issues, but some of the dumb stuff I've dealt with in the past taught me that it's really not that big of a deal and gives you more experience for the future.
And if you haven't already, have a conversation with the guy about his attitude. Inform him if you're doing something wrong, don't get pissy, show you the right way, then let you attempt it. Sure it takes longer, but that's how you teach someone and they learn. If he's just a trainer to make trainer $, then he might not be worth dealing with. Guys have to have a lot of patience to train.650cat425, DeanOfMac and Dale thompson Thank this. -
That said, if ANY trainer snatched something from my hand, I promise I would have beat his ###. I've got a real short fuse for that kind of stuff.
But, don't give up on your company; give up on your trainer and get out of that truck. Despite what you may have heard, it's not normal nor acceptable to take a cussing from a trainer. And I'll bet you a weeks pay you won't be the first one to bail out on his ignorant arse.
Good luck and hang in there. Trust me, it gets easier every day.ThomasTrucker21, 650cat425, x1Heavy and 4 others Thank this. -
What Opus said.

Echo what Hillbilly and Opus and Dave said. When I first started I had to request a new trainer and it was the best thing for me to do. I am sure the feeling was mutual. LOL

Yeah thats messed up. Some flatbedders been doing it to long and think they gods gift to the earth and if u dont do it their way then ur wrong. A good trainer would be patient and if u wasnt understanding something they would explain it different ways.
