Have you bought a pre-paid funeral plan yet? If not. Hurry. You'll need it. You're doomed. You are supposed to wash only hands and feet in truck stop sinks. And ocassionally skid marked boxers

    I hear you.

Every year during flu season you always had several coughing in church. We would be what? 300? And about 15 would be coughing up a lung during sermon. Every year these last 20 plus years. You think they will stay home but no.

Well when I picked up the spanish flu in Jan I told the pastor thats it for this year for us until we are over it. Took 8 weeks. I did not miss anything. Back in church and several still cough up a lung. We went home. Fast forward to now enter Covid19.

Wala... everyone learned to stay home and attend church on internet. Wal wal wal. brave new world.

We did not lose anything really Covid19 or not. Managed to upend thousands of years of church going in person.

I am speaking in general. There is no particular religon or belief harmed in my post. Alls well. /half sarc.

Believe it or not, graves are selling. I own two. Those will be disposed of in due time with the buyers and cemetery. Normally no one could not be bothered to buy graves plural, but in this case there is a opportunity to dispose of them to people who have need of them. (Below market rate) I had a family member offer me one back in the old home cemetary on the east coast and I declined it. But Im pretty sure that plot would sell nicely this year at some point. (I already know where we will be disposed of after death in Arkansas.)

It is a slow process, Deeds, paperwork and payment and so on goes through the Cemetery Office. Its a form of real estate. So there is no hurry.

Amazingly enough, I don't see anything real nefarious going on. Monday morning quarterbacking, wow, like off the chart. It's a combination of factors, things like in reality the government, Federal, State, local can only do so much. Throw in a media that doesn't generate money unless they get audiences, and the only way to do that is get increasingly shrill about what may happen. And the final variable, which I think is the real driver in all of this is a "smartphone".
Misinformation, tailored to everyone's individuals prejudices can be placed in the palm of anyone's hand in milliseconds. This is the first time in history, worldwide that this has been possible. Humans are just reacting as humans do. TV/radio did it in an earlier generation, Newspapers did it 125 years ago.
this pretty much sums it up:

To be clear, I'm not yelling at @x1Heavy Nor did his post offend me. It was just the 50th post of that nature I'd read. :) An I had to vent or I'd implode, an imploding is not conducive to a long life.

I have no beef with religions other then when people act stupid over them. Seems like every time you turn around, someone has to play the victim card.

Anyhow, carry on with your Sunday folks, just didn't want my last post construed as me going off on X1. I should have made that more clear in the original post.

    Happy Easter!

No offense taken. I did not construe any problems with what is really a good post. Thought provoking.

The problem is I go overboard on religion and forget that I can be thrown out for that.

Today is a interesting day but in time im pretty sure all of that will be smoothed over soon enough.

You laugh, but every time I get back from a grocery run first thing , I wash my hands than my face than dry .

Than proceed to Rub the Krap out of my eyes that I had been wanting to do for the last hour because of my never ending allergies down here in Florida.

I'm eating Zyrtec like candy for the fear of having one of my famous 15 giant Sneezes in a row in the middle of the grocery store.

Pretty sure I could get gunned down for that.
