Ahhhh ok....don't worry about cpm. Coming out CDL school, pay is going to be low. Living in Florida, you'll probably have to take what you can get because of a lack.of experience. After that year comes, you will see more pay. The companies Chinatown suggested cover a lot of territory so you'll be fine in terms of miles so if you run, you'll make decent money.

Gotcha. Do you know if any are better than the others in terms of driver treatment?

The companies China listed are all decent companies that you might stay with longer than a year. You mentioned you’ve seen a lot of WEL trucks in Florida, that’s a good sign for getting regular home time. Write down on a piece of paper the top 5 things you’re looking for in a company, call them and ask them questions and consider going to a couple of truck stops and speak to their drivers. When you’re finished analyzing you should have enough information to help guide you.

Got It. I hope I can find a company that I can stick with. Trying to get ahead financially along with my girlfriend before 30. I know trucking isn’t what It used to be but I think I can make the most of It. I appreciate all the positive feedback!

I cant personally say. I haven't worked for any of them. One person may say they treat drivers good, but another may say the opposite. I can say for sure that all companies are going to do what's best for business....first. They will try to work with you as much as possible, but you win a lot more battles when you're professional

I think that’s with any job. I bet that’s part of the reason a lot of new drivers do make It long at their starter also.

You're in a similar boat to me. Except I'm doing it at almost 53. China had freymiller rated higher than FFE. In order to choose. Freymiller does tuition reimbursement. FFE has their own schools. You'll train in KLLM trucks. Honestly the FFE/KLLM school looks really good to learn. Not just get you passing. After that. Wherever you start will have you with a trainer for at leadt 240 hours. Getting real exp backing...etc. If you're doing good they may let you loose earlier. If you're not fully getting it. They may keep you with them longer. One thing tgat's been said on here over and over. Don't be afraid, if you trainer is not doing things the right way, to let the company know and ask for a different one. BUT, be factual with legit issues.
