It is hard to know what to think about all this.
There are so many stories and statements from so many people about so many things.

    It is like...
    Did you feel that? ...

beaver ut at ernies truck stop.
the other load I got delivered last nite.
this load i picked up at jurupa terminal and left there this morning.
have a new driver this trip and he is have same issues as other ones do.
don't understand why denver can't get there end straight.
driver says he should be here around 0100 tomorrow.
i wish Denver can find a driver that will stay until Irvin comes back.
what also bugs me is how drivers can't get the 40 foot kingpin right.
    what's so f'n hard.
Calif. is last axle and most trailers even have a sticker showing 40 foot Mark.
I must have told the other driver a few times on it and he still had it wrong. had it between the front and rear axle.
told him lucky it was light.
one of these days they gonna give me an overweight trailer.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

The Millennial's are down on the Boomers because we are taking this whole virus thing with a grain of salt.
The entitled generation who had everything handed to them until a big scare comes along, and who have not lived through anything really, are suddenly taking up the sword for the safety of all.
    What happened to 'No Fear'?!

    Please.
Scared little bunnies, all of them.

A fraction of the population has this virus, and a much smaller fraction is dying from it.
I may be one of the ones dying if I get it because I am in that 'high risk' group.
    So what?

These things come and go. Some stick around and we deal with it.
But the panic that has been induced is totally irrational in my opinion.

The whole 'No Fear' thing is from people who have had no idea, not a clue.
Because now, with a little new virus - they are truly afraid for the first time in their life.
No more 'No Fear', because of a little tiny and nonliving nit.
A speck of dust, so to speak.

    dwells40 Thanks this.

What fun, stuck sitting behind a Bog Lot's until 0600 for my first stop.
I got here at around 1400.
The plan was to stay at a Pilot 35 miles away, but there is a high wind warning for the area beginning at 0200 and going until 1400 tomorrow.
At least this way I will make my first delivery on time, even if I have to sit it out until the afternoon.

Considering that every governor , doctor, and the president himself are the ones saying stay gone and spreading fear, I’d say this is a ridiculous statement. They are all 40’s-70’s age range.

    Really?
Trump wants to open things back up again, and again.

I'm not saying that some of the older folk are not afraid.
I don't think Trump is one of them.

I was just pointing to the No Fear attitude certain generation's took for themselves, but now they are fearing.
Especially those kids in FL that took to the beaches to party.

Somewhere in AZ, im too lazy to figure out where.

Bounced down from Vegas to Beaumont, and then relayed my load to Tonopah and got my empty skate. Ive worked with the other driver before doing OSOW. Got a real good guy on the other end. He used to bring me my load every day. Now I bring him his every day.

Someone in the office knows us both too well, we are both two of the most explosive malcontents they could have paired together. Probably did that because they know we would rub anyone else wrong.

Dropped some chains to make weight. 300lbs worth (we talked about dropping all but essential equipment before, i just took the initiative). We have a equipment cache set up in the lowes yard. Shouldn't have any further weight issues. Wood is heavier than normal since it has been raining in socal. But Lowes is good about reworking quickly.

@dptrucker good help is hard to find. But that is just utterly insane. Hope you have better luck with those guys.

My final Big Lot's delivery was in Jasper, IN.
The wind tossed me around a bit this morning, but nothing too bad.
I got there about an hour early, pulled back to the dock and waited for everyone to get in.
It took a little longer than I had hoped for the unload and I was getting concerned about being on time for my next load.

Very nice people at that Big Lot's.
When they were finished they brought out a basket of supplies.
A six pack of water, various snacks and candy, a little bottle of Tylenol and a bottle of hand sanitizer. With a hand written note saying thank you for everything you do. It also said that truck drivers get 15% off at all Big Lot's through April, we just show our CDL.
And they wanted a picture of me accepting it, which I went along with.
He finished up by saying that I was the best Swift driver he has seen yet.
Too many hit things, or take 30 minutes to back up to the little dock area.

Then I got here, at Pluto in French Lick, IN.
My load assignment said by 1600 and I got here at 1400, with a lot of trucks already waiting to be loaded.
After 3.5 hours I went in to see where I was in line, and there were still six truck ahead of me. One loading dock working at the time, so it would be another 4 hours or so before I got in.

So, I says, can I just be first in line in the morning? In the long run it will save me some time and I won't be quite so late for my delivery.
No problem. He started the list for the morning with my name at the top.

2 nights in a row stuck at a shipper/receiver. That is a first for me, and a habit I don't intend to keep.
