if you get to jurupa terminal.. go to dispatch window and ask for a mask. you will also get 3 bottles of hand sanitizer.

 

I won't make a special trip for it.
And 1 bottle would last me more than two lifetimes. Worthless stuff, because you kill the good with the bad.

I haven't seen or heard of any 'studies' about that aspect, but I suspect that people that always use sanitizing products to excess have a higher rate of bad symptoms and death because their bodies simply don't know how to fight an infection or virus of any kind.


And of what use is 1 mask?
None but for 1 day at most. Then you need to wash it.
How often do you do laundry? Probably not every day.
And how many washings can that flimsy cotton mask withstand before it is totally useless?
So getting that mask is only for show, and nothing else. And the longer you wear it the more dangerous it becomes to your own health.


I don't think anyone has any 'common sense' left in their brains.

 

the only time I have worn a mask so far is when I went today to Kaiser to refill meds
shipper I am going to tomorrow requires drivers to wear mask or they won't let you pass the gate.
heard walmart is doing the same.
alot of counties around here are requiring you to wear mask while in.punlic. not sure if they are enforcing it.
mask are not gonna keep you from getting it. only if you have it.
imo.... this whole thing is overreaction.
not sure if sanitizer works or not. normally never use it. will only use it now if I come in contact with alot of people. or the restroom.

 

I will wear a mask if they provide it for me.
If they require it, then they should have them on hand.
Otherwise there will be many loads not being picked up and/or delivered.

Because there are none in the stores that I have been at.

 

Do you touch a lot of people in restrooms? I don't.
And I wash my hands, which is better than or as good as anything.

And besides that, 2 tenths of one percent of the population have it.
The death rate is less than 2% of that if you are high risk.
I personally do not know a single person that has it.

Overreaction is right.

Current projections are for around 60,000 to die from this pandemic, while 61,000 people have died from the flu last year.
I guess it could have been several times worse without the precautions, but once it runs its course it will be no worse that any other type of flu or virus on a yearly level because we will have built our immunity to it.
And once it does filter throughout the population, at whatever rate, I suspect there will be the same number of deaths if we had done nothing at all.

All sanitizing does is put it off for a few days or weeks...
It does nothing for your own immune system to tackle it head on to build that immunity.
Personally I want to be exposed to it, just to get it done with one way or the other.

 

Some masks are microwavable, much easier.

We have steel customers requiring any sort of mouth covering, bandana scarf whatever.


Tonopah AZ. 2nd run right on time. Apparently i get to go home to vegas for the weekend, while doing this. Neat.

Two drivers on the LA side late 2nd day. Oh boy this ain't starting well. One of which is a student mentor team which is just blowing my bloody mind.

But 5 trucks in PHX, and 5 out of Beaumont. And 2 are already screwing it up.


As for sanatizer, does it kill virus yes. However, this virus easily aerosolizes in the moisture of your breath. So standard un labored breathing decent distance your ok. Someone coughs, and that #### can get thrown 27feet or so. And lets say you are wearing a mask and don't breath it in. Well the droplets can still land on your skin as they linger in the air. Then you touch you face as you are taking off the mask. Cause maybe you did sanatize your hands, but then you scratched you arm that was not sanatized or cleaned.


See i laugh at this sad attempt at public health guidelines.


Never the less, im just ready for #### to get back to normal so i can enjoy fish n chips in a bar with dark lighting as the gods intended.

 

You better have one some municipalities are writing $1000 tickets for not wearing one in public.

 

I don't go around touching people lmao.
but you will touch or grab things that they have.

 

Reminds me of the two siblings. "I'm not touching you. I'm not touching you." lol

 

But that happens no matter where we are.
