13 speed splitter problem

    I realize the shift pattern says to preselect splits, I never have and i don't have this problem.

    Of course the manual says to use the clutch too, but that doesn't stop most drivers from not using the clutch.

    I shift mine like you do...only time I have a problem is when I forget lol

    The trick is to tap the clutch like your supposed to. I shift like these guys also ^^^^^^^^^. Never have a problem.

    i had the same issue on a ten speed and it was the synchros so yeah i think it would have to be torn apart and looked at

    Then it shouldn't have the same problem. Maybe same symptoms. On both Meritor and Eatons there is an interlock that prevents the range from shifting while in gear. Splitter preselect, the only thing that is preventing the shift is the load that is on the gears themselves. Remove it by backing off or clutching, the shift happens. That is why I don't preselect splits
