10-4!! I'd really like to get by their shop for a few hours.! Seems them boys know their Detroit sheet..

You are more than likely correct about the whole situation.. My truck actually pulls most 3-4% grades just fine in OD under 50k gross, which lots of my loads are, at 1600-1700rpm which is where I'm generally cruising anyway. It also runs out much smoother there than is does the 1450-1550 range.
So what's gotten under my skin lately & got this whole "need for speed" thing started is

1 Sinking FL Sod haulers, &
2 When you are cruising along nicely all by your lonesome at 68-70mph & next thing you know you're overtaken, cutoff, & now down to 63mph & stuck in a pack of company dry boxes jockey'n for position.. If I speed up to 72 they just hang along side me. If I don't, the above situation starts to play out for some reason.. o_O

My thinking was if I could press the accelerator to the floor, walk off on them at 80 or so for 2-3mins, let off & let the cruise resume it'd be another hour before they caught up to my backdoor again, if they even did.. Repeat if necessary..

Seems you are correct, all this can be accomplished by being able to swing 1900-1950 for 1 to 2 min burst, & better for upshifting the gappy 9er..

Think it is funny when your told your not making as much as a O/O with his own numbers vs being under a lease. Hmmm.....lease O/O is getting top rate compared to O/O that's getting a cut broker rate and lease O/O is making more to truck than O/O with own numbers is getting.....I'll stick to my math than imaginary math thank you......like Ron White says...."can't fix stupid" !!
