that was...THAT particular company's testing. the company you go to try out for, may not be as intensive. i have seen for instance, where the soon to be driver, had to push a "sled" on the carpeted floor x amount of feet, lift over his head, and do bend and squats.
each company either has thier own testing, or leaves it up to the DOT physical exam place.
keep practicing.
can you go and check out a physical therapy place, and get some help?
i do not know thier per hour charges, that you have to inquire about as well.tscottme, Cee El in Ess Cee and Deere hunter Thank this. -
here's the problem,( being flat footed not necessarily included), but if a person is out of shape, how does one expect to pass a DOT physical in the first place?
get some exercise, lose some weight, watch the salts and sugars, and maybe go for a brisk walk daily, STOP SMOKING, STOP taking drugs, STOP smoking weed...
otherwise, ain't too much we can do if you fail a DOT physical.tscottme and Deere hunter Thank this. -
This is just a general question. Right?Deere hunter Thanks this.

Some a-hole wants me to do some BS Agility Test, I'm going to invite them out to my flatbed and tell them to climb up on top grab my hundred 50 lb tarps and lug them around themselves to see if they can pass a Physical Agility Test

we have far too many people, wanting to be truckers, but when they go for the physical or drug screen, they come here asking for help in what they can do to pass the tests. really not much we can do..we cannot diet for them, we cannot exercise for them, etc, etc. they must do it all on thier own.
people (in general) need to take better care of themselves each and everyday. here i am past 70 (but retired last spring) and i always passed my DOT physicals, even my yearly physical from my primary doctor.
but when someone is grossly over weight and come here for help, in all reality, what can we do?
we advise them what to do. then they many times they disagree with what we say. they want help, but either do not listen or do things thier way no matter what.
you have a unique situation i ain't heard no one inquire about before, so i went on that search and found that ability/agility testing done by that ONE company.
i do not know what TMC's physical agility tests are like, so all i can say is "practice standing and walking" like you saw on the video.
not much else i can add.tscottme, x1Heavy, AM14 and 1 other person Thank this. -
that video for truck driving or ballerinas?
Badmon, Tb0n3 and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this.
