Stand up and bend one leg back and grab it with the hand corresponding to the side of leg.
That’s the TMC test. Both legs I think -
Lifting and holding both feet at the same time is a feat I'd like to see accomplished.
Seriously, though, your balance is in your toes. If you have both of your big and little toes, balance shouldn't be an issue. If you begin to lean to the outside of your foot, flex your pinkie toe. Inside?, flex the piggie that goes to market.Deere hunter and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this. -
Man I'd never be able to get that job! Over the years, I've managed to rupture both my quad tendons (not at the same time) The repairs were mostly successful, although I have some difficulty standing up on my toes and balancing on one leg. Since both operations, I have passed several DOT physicals without any problem. I just have to explain my history to the M.E.

Comfortable shoes is the trick.Youll ace it.

I believe on the TMC website there is a video of the test. My concern is hopping up onto the flatbed from the ground. I can't imagine doing that myself yet.

They make ladders
And I've yet to see half of TMCs drivers able to get into the truck without pulling themselves up with the steering wheelSelva Thanks this. -
You beach yourself like a whale onto the deck up there, then heave the rest of the way on.
Generally I get up there via catwalk on tractor or ICC Bumper in the back.
I like the examiner to stoop and climb under the frame and flop onto back to bypass a airline bust with a tornado in the distance in the raging rain and hail....
See how he likes that.Selva Thanks this. -
Good news. I watched a DOT safety video and they said to use the ladder, so I was surprised to see the guy climb on without it. I didn't want to be "that guy" who asks for the ladder.HoneyBadger67 Thanks this.

Put a 2X4 down on the ground, wide side. Can you walk the length with out slipping off or falling down?
