My first phone was a Bell South Mobility Motorola Bag phone. One full watt analog. Cost a fortune to use out of North Georgia. If I remember right about 3 to 4 bucks a minute to use while roaming including home and location network charges as well as toll call charges. I got this phone in Jan of 1998. I did not keep it all that long. I forgot the date Bell South moved to that no roaming no long distance. I was one of the first to migrate over to it. The idiot regional manager over several of the local stores is why I left the now AT&T. I will never go back.

This was the original brick. Those things were seriously stout.

I had the bag phone, supplied by Carrier. Hauling Auto parts. Emergency use only. Then it was MCI 1.00 a minute calling cards used at pay phones. Finally got a Toll Free # for .10 a minute. What a deal changer that was. Still miss the Star Trek flip phones. I almost forgot, How do I retrieve my accidently deleted notes from the Cloud? I need my password, Guess where I had it stored?

Remember they said the bag phones were so powerful, 600 watts or something? Supposed to cause brain tumors. Some say that today about smart phones, holding them up to your ear, pretty good evidence of a manufacturers cover up on the dangers. They say don’t put it near your jewels, causes Testicular cancer. My nefew got it, 40 yrs old. Never know. I still wonder about the microwave, Lol. Not to mention, turns out all the water in America’s drinking supply really is contaminated. Not just Flint, only the tip of the iceberg. Learned all kinds of stuff at home this week watching TV.
