I'm confused on the Series 50 and DT466 as well. First diesel engine I ever took apart was a DT466. Second engine I ever took apart was a Series 50. Completely different.

They had a series 50 that was a 4 cylinder version of a series 60. Mostly bus engines my understanding. Then had some DT466 6 cylinder rebranded as series 50 too. Seen many in spotter trucks. But this is all I can tell you. I dont know how or why.

Hold up, had to Google it. The rebranded DT466 was apparently a series 40. Not 50. I stand corrected. I was wrong.

Please dont throw me off the island.

The old Shadows are common for bobbers. Long production runs give them a huge aftermarket following. I had air ride on mine. Schumacker Air. It worked well...until the shocks started leaking. Then, the air compressor burned up. I got ticked off and put the factory shocks back on.

When the Survival mode ends (IF it ends), I will buy a set of Ohlins.
    See this one? Same builder.

Good eye on that bottle. I thought it was nitrous.

Guys, I'm going to be absent for a while. Got a family member with some serious health issues that are going to be taken care of next week. Been getting my ducks in a row to take care of it all. You all behave while I'm gone.....or not behave whatever is more fun for ya. I'll be back !! See ya.

@jamespmack some Kelly rigs and smaller ones had 4 stroke 50 series. Funny story about deaf guys

Walked in on the company man I've never met and drilling superintendent to introduce myself & get his blessing to kick off the cement on his location. They were reminiscing bout old times and jimmies w/o mufflers. Got the son how you know that look after i said love how the old 2 strokes sounded.

turns out my landlords neighbor is having a live-in during the next few months.

It’s getting plumbed tomorrow. ‘Twas a nice travel trailer. Wouldn’t wanna try and afford one though!
