Baltimore, always fun, especially a drop n hook at coca cola bottling that turns into docking across a 4-lane busy city street.

I still have yet to receive gifts from Amy shipper or receiver.
MIT Thanks this. -
This was at Westrock, and while it was a drop and hook, that place is a cluster. It's a maze of dropped trailers everywhere, and on top of that, I guess they loaded my load into the wrong trailer so I had to wait while they un-####ed that.
I've never had a good experience at a Westrock facility other than the time I picked up from Stevenson, Alabama and I think we lost that account. -
Ugh, this month sucks. The whole La Crosse City Brew / BluJay hashup last week, now sitting at New Standard Corp dispatched to deliver 4/17 0600-1430.
Walk up to the receiving door, see a sign, "effective 4/13, NSC shipping and receiving closed Fridays"...huh, today's Friday. Cool...cool. Wish anyone had told me this earlier...could have snuck this in yesterday about 15 minutes before their stated receiving closing time if 1630. So now Opie has to figure this out.
I wonder how many muck ups he has to deal with every week, especially this month.Still undecided Thanks this. -
I got it there, they aren't there to receive it.

Probably one of the biggest problems in trucking/logistics. Poor or non exisistent communication. So many problems could be solved or prevented.Last edited: Apr 17, 2020

So realized this afternoon that I've passed only about three or four Millis trucks in the past couple DAYS! How you folks doing out there?
-
I saw 4 or 5 coming towards me earlier in the week, but only a few since. It seems like it's feast or famine with seeing them with me.

I've been moving. Not getting those 3000+ mile weeks like a couple of months ago but I'm not really sitting that much either.
For example: Delivered in Florence, KY yesterday. Once empty I was told "Nothing yet and it'll probably be awhile." So I headed up to Trenton. While doing laundry, I got to talking to Bill. He said freight out of Trenton had been crap and every driver he'd talked to that had came there had gotten a reset before they got a load. I thought to myself "Hmm I could use a break. No biggie." But not long after that I got a load PepsiCo that loaded this morning and delivers in VA early Monday morning. So I'm still gonna be sitting (in Raphine now) but I'll still have around 2600 miles for the week, which I can live with.MIT Thanks this.
