I'm back!!!!!!!! PC was down for over a month now just got back online today! FINALLY! I see I have missed way to much to read and catch up on so I will just start from here..........lolol

1bad has had one heck of a month only pulling in just over 8k miles. New truck new issues. We think he (1bad) finally fixed it. Thank god he was a body man for over 20 years. The kmart mechanics in conley took a total of roughly 16 days trying to figure out where the pond behind gear shift boot was coming from. Blamed on everything under the sun. Never fixed anything. 1bad was doing something to his TV found the leak and $4.50 later wow no more leak. So he has been rolling pretty steady for about 2 weeks now. Kraft is good for now if we can just keep his truck on the road for while. We get to see more of him than before he went on the Kraft fleet due to the norcross warehouse being so close to home he takes a 10 hr break here every 8 or 9 days max. The kids love that!!!!!!

Jess, I sent you a pm I hope to get one back from ya!:biggrin_25514:

Ok it is close to midnight here and have to get the baby on the school bus at 6:20 in the morning then the older off by 7:30 so I best hit the hay. Hope everyone has a great night!!!!!

I wanted to say quick hello to all the regulars here. I have been MIA since last weekend, somehow my laptops been kicking me out when I sign on to truckersreport forum. I must have fixed it, the little bugs that causing my palm centro to crash(I actually reloaded pdaNet onto my laptop). I was in lurking mode with my browser on the palm, but this site wouldnt allow me to log-on and post, really weird considering I been able to log onto several other sites I visit.

I was wondering whats is the likey hood that I will be able to move up Truck school? I was originally scheduled for Riverside on Oct 5, but I'm hoping to move it up maybe 1-2 weeks. Besides the packing list in the newbie driver section, is there anything else I should prior to heading off? I really like to plan ahead, but no overload myself with details. I would rather be over prepared for the overall situation. Especially with going through orientation then heading out on training.

Am I over analyzing the situation?:biggrin_25521:

Should be able to move it up with no issues. When i was first scheduled.. I called thursday... they had me scheduled for the following Monday! I had to end up pushing that back... but no problems.

Sorry, can't help with what to bring. I am bringing what I need and trying to keep it compact. I know that If I bring it... I will probably be snuggling up with it! (So I'm leaving home all sharp stuff....)

I used to be a gym rat, so I might be able to help.

The most important exercise for a stronger back is not an exercise using the back directly.

Its situps or ab work. Abs wrap around the back and are a major support for it. Strong abs will help you maintain correct spine alignment. They also take the strain off your back.

They even support other areas like the chest. For example, strong abs will increase lifters bench presses.

In other words, abs do alot for support. Helps the back catch a break and become stronger.

As far as how much, it doesnt have to be a strenous workout. Just go to failure and try for more next time.

Another exercise- standing with arms behind back, bend forward, while keeping legs straight, without bending knees or neck, then raise slowly back using lower back muscles. Dont twist or jerk.

Oh yea, if ur a guy, dont do with others around. Not a manly exercise, lol.

And remember when lifting anything, use your legs more than back, shoulders back, inward arch to back if possible.

All right. enough with the fitness crap. back to trucking :biggrin_25523:

BTW, I know a little fitness, just not practicing it like I should be.

Now adays I look like 'Larry the Cable Guy' on a bad belly day. :biggrin_25513:

I am glad to hear that Kraft is a good change for him, after I pushed for you to have him try it for so long lol.
They can be a pain in the rear fleet, but have there good things also.
Plus no more trailer searching when leaving Conley. I would always have a Norcross drop load on the way in. And instead of hooking an empty there before going on time off or something I would bobtail out of Norcross. That way they did not mind when I came back for an empty later. Since it was the one I would have grabbed before and I then do not loose my trailer in the terminal lol.
