I don't think any sit down dining is open out west. Maybe somewhere in the east. I havent been off the west coast in two months so i dont know.

And ive been looking. Its a favorite thing of mine to do while out on the road. Find some goodish looking resturaunt and either park in walking distance or uber over. I for one will be very glad when this is all over.

Even growing up in the east. It now feels like a foreign country to me.

Just an odd side thought. I feel happy out west, and on edge out east.

Not that id ever give up my coast to coast runs when they come back, but yeah. The simplicity, of run as much as you can for a few days, i always enjoyed. A few days of no BS, just straight up get it there.

Im having to much time to think, i hate 34s.

    Roscoe, IL at the Love's.

That new fuel program is a real joke.
It seems to want me to run my tanks dry because the past couple times I can only get 60 gallons.
And there is no route at all, just the stops.
This time I had less than a quarter tank and it said I had plenty to do a 400 mile run.
I was hitting E as I got here near the shipper, and I still have to get to MI with a heavy Lowe's load.

They say it is to help us drivers, but so far it is just a pain in the backside.

Why is it when Swift does something to 'help us', it always backfires so badly?
Plus-1 is another example, as is that stupid "This is a suggested trip plan" joke of a useless waste of time.

The REAL waste of money is paying those programmers to come up with this crap.

And they probably got sold a line of crap and taken for a ride by a developer.

Happened with the first attempt at new ELD tablet software

It seems now they do not want to put any more fuel on the truck than you need for the current load - all to show the stockholders better numbers for each load.

They will send us the long way to save half a penny per gallon, while using much more fuel than is saved in the process.
Rather defeats the point I would think.

And more fuel stops mean more wasted time for me, especially if I can't even get to that stop and have to call in to get re optimized.
Sure, I don't mind the hit on my 14 and 70 each time I shouldn't have needed to fuel...
Sure, I don't mind always feeling like I will run out of fuel because I am always at 1/4 tank or less...
And I wonder what that does for the water content in the fuel.

Ive mostly always been screwed by thier routing in flatbed. The freights while they have 100 gallon tanks only realistically total 160-170. Since the filler head is so far over to the side. KWs arent much better either. But a few more gallons at least.

Nice to know they will make the problem worse soon unless they re do the idiot programming
