I'm moving this load. Made it to Nashville, sitting at the TA, God bless Idle Aire. I need to keep my idle time down at least while in Grad fleet. Time for Dinner and then a shower.

Well guys today went well again. Did a lot of driving around the track today. Getn really solid on the up shifting and downshifting. They showed us how to do a straight back and a parrelel. Doesnt look too hard. Not sayn that it isnt tho. Then we went to dps, the rest of the guys got there permits. I took the air brakes and general knowlege tests. Got a 89 and a 85. Two more tests to go.

I have a question for the alliance drivers or lease operators with stevens transport. Can you take your home-time when you want too, are do you still have to drive for three weeks before they will allow you home-time. I will appreciate if anyone can answer this for me THANKS.

You bet brother. Have a great time on vacation, sounds like fun. If I don't end up somewhere else first, I'll see you in the Oct. 5th class. That is the first date I can restart again. I'm hoping to get on somewhere else before that, but I'm all good with Oct 5th if I can't make that happen. Best of luck, and no matter where you all end up, please keep us all in the loop.

I'm not a L/O, but I can answer your question. Yes, you can set your own schedule. However, like anywhere, you need to be running just like a company driver if you want to make those lease payments! Also, if you're only out short periods and then home on a regular basis, you're probably not going to be at the top of your Fleet Manager's board, which means you probably won't get the preferential treatment. I hear alot of guys take a a few weeks or a month right before they sign their lease. It gives them a break without having to make payments while you're laying on a beach.
