Sounds like there were more than just us 3 let go today. A couple guys I worked with at another branch were let go as well. Probably at least 25-30 of us gone.

 

Hit the workout circuit you like so much! Long run or ride will help you clear your mind! You’ve got the attitude to rise up! Don’t take it personal it’s always business!

 

Yup! I felt bad for the one supervisor there doing the layoffs. He was on the shop floor with us before taking a supervisor role last fall. He looked so distraught about telling his former co-workers on the floor that they had to let us go. I can't say anything bad about the company. They treated us well, sent me to training courses, pay was always on time and correct. Nah it was a great place. If I haven't found anything decent and they call me back I'd probably go back.

 

Going up to help a buddy of mine unload his tools. Same company but was posted at one of the mines. Said about 100 guys were laid off from the company in the region. So a lot of bad days today

 

Oil stocks are plummeting apparently due to lack of demand.

 

Western Canada Select I believe is the oil we produce here and its been flirting with $4/barrel the last month.

 

so .95 unleaded and 1.50 Diesel? lol
