1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

In the best of times you would find it very hard to get a job in this industry. You have been convicted of steeling and are a careless driver. No one is going to give you a job DRIVING with thousands of dollars of cargo and then wonder if you will wreck or just steal there load. I know thats hard but that is how they will see it.

There is a big difference in driving a car every day in Myrtle Beach SC than driving for a living (speed traps everwhere) not to say I would not have to deal with speed traps on the open road If I were driving for a living I am smart enfough and have enfough common sence to protect my driving career by obeying the trafic laws. 2007 I bought a new truck I wanted to see what it had, on an emtpy hwy , Hwy 31 That was the reckless no doubt hind sight is 20/20 ticket that same month 56 in 45 on a 4 lane hwy 544 ( speed trap ) last ticket on 544 I have lived and driven on hwy 544 for over 20 years three tickets that dose not make me a terrible driver. As for a Thief, I stold a chain saw from Ace hardware got caught did my time and I am sorry thats a wrap. Brent

Yep big difference. If you drive like that in a car you got no business in a truck as alot of drivers out here have no business in a truck the way they drive but somehow have still managed to get in them. as far as why or how you got the speeding tickets you say ( speed trap ) you can't get trapped if your not doing it. Plain and simple just admit you screwed up and quit blaming a (speed trap) you did it you got nailed end of story. I'm not saying that were all not guilty of making bad decisions before but man up and take responsibility for it instead of blaming it on something other than your own ignorance. As for the thief comment there is no difference if you stole a brand new car or a candybar your still a thief and that my friend is the cold hard truth. You will always be seen as a thief with that record. Ever heard of innocent until proven guilty? well you were proven guilty and now will have to spend the rest of your life trying to prove your not a thief anymore.

I drive cars, trucks and a very fast motorcycle but have sense enough not to get a ticket...How about slowing down? Then you can drive right through the "speed traps" with the rest of us.

stop driving like a fool and you won't have to "deal" with them at all!

Based on what? You have not shown any evidence to back that up so far...
Have you ever heard of Spell Check?

Apparently the highway wasn't empty...There was at least one cop out there.

    But you WERE speeding!

I've driven trucks and lots of other vehicles for a lot of years...and a LOT of miles and have had a total of 3 tickets! And none of those tickets were anyones fault other than my own...Stop blaming your poor judgement on "speed traps" and start taking some personal responsibility for the things you do! You will find that these things will stop happening to you when you stop blaming others for your actions.

And that makes you a thief!

You better consider doing something else for a living than trucking!

    I understand Brent.
You have had to pay your dues for your crime... You do deserve the chance to regain your life in society.

As for being an Owner Operator (O/O), check with that section of this board, they will help you with that information better than I.

Check out PharmPhails Thread," Instant O/O and Load Boards".

I would imagine that insurance for yourself would still be the hindrance.
