Student driver, as an alliance operator, you are a business owner. You may take your home time any time you want, any where you want. You must be able to pay your expenses.
Now with that said, To really make it as a solo lease operator, you better be ready to stay out a month at a time, build a close relationship with you DM, and Dispatch, make your deliveries on time, and communicate effectively with Stevens.
I run 5 weeks, then take 1 week off, which I usually spend 5 days at home, as the day getting home is unpaid because of where I live, and 1 day getting back into the freight lanes. -
Haha....You think it's been hot since you've been here?
LOL This is a cold front compared to normal temps this time of year. You shoulda been here a month ago if you think it's hot now!

hey big,i start september 28th,2 weeks away,how much money should i bring,minimum.
fozzy,my wife just said,i hope you guys dont get diarhea while ya on the road, that could be embarrasing lmao.
and what should i do to prepare myself,im just waiting on my social security card -
Hunter kinda all depends on ur expenses. How much u want to get in gr0ceries or if u want to eat out. Me and my roomate split the cost on food. So hopefully u get a cool roomate. Id say no less than 150. Plus u get 70 a week for u t check. Thats what they call ur meal money. All up to u bro. But u will need no less than 60 to get ur cdl and take the permit test. I paid 25 on thursday and got my permit, then friday i paid the rest of my balance wich was 37. That covers the rest of my tests and my cdl.
hunter0307 Thanks this. -
seems to me we have a whole slew of potential stevens drivers, maybe we're the "new breed" of drivers lmao

I hope so man. I think im meant to drive a truck. Its just like its comin natural to me. The first time i sat down in the truck thursday i was nervous but comfortable. My first lap sucked but by the third lap my up shift was good, still was workn on my downshift. Then by friday i was downshiftn just fine and double clutchn upshift just fine. I was told to help the other guys in my truck out. So idk, maybe this is what god wants me to do the rest of my life. Hes got my this far so if its meant to be it is i guess. Just ready to learn my straight line back and parallel.
