to be honest with you, i never worried about my SWR meter's light. all i ever cared about was the channel indicator light (or LED's)

that SWR meter light bulb, does not affect the over all performance of the radio. (i always had a stand alone SWR meter, and once i had my antenna tuned, all was good).

BUT, it sometimes pays to learn how to do some minor repairs yourself, rather than pay a shop.

Keep the meter lit..Look at it now and then to chk performance..Not that the meter is dead on or anything but as a guide..

    Ken's Electronics
S/RF and Watt Meters for CB'ers at Ken's Electronics, (Wholesale & Retail Electronic Parts) Kalamazoo, Michigan
They have many, many parts for your radio. If you have any problems with the install pm me. I have replaced and repaired these meter for the Cobra 29 Ltd many times. Pull the knobs, unscrew the face, de-solder the two wires/leads, and re-solder the two wires/leads. Use a couple of dabs of hot glue and your up and running. If your just replacing the light Call Ken's before placing your order online. If they don't currently have the meter in stock? They will have the correct light in stock. And they will help with question for the install also. And if you do have to remove the meter? Just use a little heat (tip of soldering iron or heat up tip of exacto knife) to remove/loosen the initial hot glue holding the meter in place. You should not have to remove the meter if your only replacing the light.
Good Luck. I'm here if you need my assistance.
