Not Swift ... Knight. You're experiencing the effect of Knight's culture on Swift.

Knight started making changes impacting the O/O program the day of closing ... I gave it 3 months to see how they played out.

    It didn't, I left.

I too gave Knight/Swift another chance (this was my second lease with Swift). For the first 8 months after I came back things worked well, I was getting miles and because the planners were actually listening to my wants and needs made it home every 7-10 days. Then it all changed. The planners lost their "fear" of Knight and reverted to their old ways. It became nearly impossible to get home unless I requested home time and even then difficult. My average weekly mileage dropped to the point that I started going through my cash reserves.

Knight/Swift made it easy to walk away. I discovered that they had installed a "trap door" in the contract that allowed them to change the terms of the contract. I elected NOT to sign the contract addendum and they terminated my contract.

My DM told me that Phoenix terminal is making cloth masks at a rate of 600 per day. They are sending one terminal 600 cloth masks per day until all the terminals get stocked up.
    That was nice to hear.

And, shocker, with my current very low miles load the fuel program has me filling up.
2 options, and still no actual route to follow. But if I use the second option I will have to waste a few miles to get there.

Cloth masks will be like socks, you will have a ton of them. New Christmas presents too.

Well you can wash socks, and cloth masks.

Not that I care all that much. I won't wear one unless I am required to do so.
This does not seem to be a virus you can really hide from, just like so many. Best to get it and have done with it one way or the other.

And for a virus that they say is not mutating all that much, why is it every day now we hear of more vague and far reaching symptoms that are 'caused' by this virus that only happen to a very small percentage of people?

Something in the air smells really funny.

I wear one when I am close around others. Really the cloth masks are to protect others from you. Not you from them like an N95. So if/when people both wear one. It keeps the germs from traveling that "far." I normally wouldn't do it. Even with this COVID-19 bug. But I've two "at risk" people in my life. My mom and my fiance. So I've got reasons to be more careful. I've seen some pretty cool looking ones. I'd love to get.

Hey Modify this one and it'd really be cool

    That could be debatable.

But of what use is it either way, really?
From the reports this virus is totally pervasive.
From the very long incubation period and its tendency to stay on surfaces far too long to the wide variety of symptoms, including none at all...
It seems none of us will actually avoid contact with it.

So why even try to avoid it, except to possibly not overwhelm the hospitals?
And that is only the real reason this lockdown is happening, in my opinion.

But in the end, those that will die from it will still die - and those that won't, won't.
Just like the common cold or flu each year.

not to go into the whole COVID-19 thing. As there are plenty of threads out there. But it's kinda of like wearing a seat belt. It helps reduce the risk. Washing hands, coughing into your elbow...etc. The little things add up.

Sure the little things add up, but not always in a good way.

For years I have watched people using sanitizer. They will wash their hands and go out and grab some sanitizer right away.

Not all 'germs' are bad for us.
Some live with us in a symbiotic relationship that keeps us more healthy.
Kill those and you just leave yourself open to everything out there.

For years people have over-sanitized, and gotten antibiotics when they should not have, misused by doctors and patients alike. And it leaves them more vulnerable to any new thing that comes along.
An 'over abundance of caution' can be a killer in many ways.
