Free face masks

    My sister has been sewing face masks. She gave us a couple each and realized that truckers are probably having the hardest time getting masks. Shes asked what the best option is for getting these masks to otr truckers who rarely hit a terminal or their home to get one.
    I told her that you'll find me in truck stops fueling, or at rest areas dot breaking. She feels odd just walking up to truckers at fuel pumps and asking if they'd like a mask, so I suggested a sign, and sit in her car and truckers can walk up if they'd like one. Shes near the elgin ta near chicago.
    So, from the great wisdom of the otr long timers, is there a better suggestion?

    That's about all you can do. Or hangout at the scale if possible.

    I'd take the scale. No one will try to double dip there. They're all rolling through.

    I just didnt think itd be good to park her car in the truck areas. But maybe hanging out by the scale would be good.

    That is very sweet of her to do so.

    Maybe she could speak with the manager of that truck stop and set up a table with her masks.
    Outside or inside, but where we would notice her as we come and go.
    She would not have to approach anyone, but the offer would be obvious.
    And, much appreciated.

    Could be dangerous with her hanging out at the truck stop. Alot of homeless, meth heads, and unsavory chracters.

    I have a couple of home made.

    I'm saving for absolutely necessary.

    I wear progressive glasses. They sit on top of the mask. Messes up my visual cuz now they're higher.

    Plus,.I went to bestbuy today and just couldn't do the glove mask thing.

    That's kinda what shes worried about. But in my year and a half driving I've never been treated rude, let alone felt unsafe, and I'm the night driver.
