Well hunter after school ur taken back to the hotel. Then u can do what u want like study with other classmates or just watch tv or somthin. I study. Second stevens does pay for the training. Here how it works. They want u to work for them for a year, u dont have to stay 30 months, but make sure ur ready to pay the remaining balance if u leave. They break it down like this, u pay in 23 dollars and some change a wk aftger u go in payroll. U pay in 3000 and stevens pays in almost 4. They will explain it more in school. So if u can stay 30 months so they pay there half. My credit sucks too. Everyone is finacnced no matter there credit.

    hunter0307 Thanks this.

I have seen it suggested on several packing lists that veterans/companies have produced that it's a good idea to bring a couple of over the counter meds. Like Advil/Motrin, and Immodium. The Immodium can be a life saver if you get intestinal problems. You just have to be careful with OTC allergy meds and make sure they don't contain alcohol or anything that has a tendency to make you sleepy, like Benadryl. I believe Claritan and Zrytec or their generic equivalents are ok. You will probably want to stay away from Tylenol PM or the other PM's. They have an ingredient that I'm pretty sure Stevens has a problem with you taking on the road. You can check with the clinic when you have your physical and they will tell you what to stay away from.

I was told the same thing. The good news is that you won't need one for several months when you get your own truck, and you will have been paid in the meantime and you can save for a cb. You can get a nice one for about $150. In the interim, your trainer will have one so you don't really need one until you get your own truck anyway. They have cb mounts on top of the dash and most of the trucks have antennas. You just mount your cb with the attached mount, connect the power and antenna leads, and you're good to go. If you are lucky enough to get a new or newer truck that doesn't have an antenna, You might get the company to install one. If not, you can buy one for pretty cheap. Anything that you install on your truck like satellite radios, converters, in-dash stereos, antennas and other electronics, the company requires you to have their service facility install all that. They won't charge you from what I understand, and they have a dedicated service bay just for installing electronic equipment. They will tell you about it during orientation.

Hunter, u should of gotten a list from stevens. If not bring like notebook and pins and book bag. Bring at least 150 for food. Bring enough clothes for one week. Only toiletries u need is like shampoo and body wash and deoterent and toothpast and toothbrush. Other than that thats about it. Dont forget birth cert and ss card and state id. Those are the most important.
