Blink brand eye drops are the best I've found over the counter. I used to be able to get some gel drops from the optometrist that were real good. The over the counter gel drops aren't as good as the blink drops.

Use a wet wash cloth or paper towel to keep your eye sockets moist. Cold water is best to help numb them....I've slept alot with one across my eyes. A hot shower will give some relief for awhile. I will also use a shot glass filled with cold water....push it up tight against your eye socket and blink several times. Put a towel around ya cause your gonna get wet.

Mostly it's just giving them time to heal. I scratch my eyes on a regular basis.... It ain't no fun.

    Yeah ..
    cold packs seem to help.
Eye ease you could buy over the counter but for some reason they took the best stuff off the shelf. Its getting better now. I know it takes time to heal.

Not lookin at the arc in the first place. Ive only had it when being lazy and tacking all day with no helmet at all and thats in right at 30yrs of welding.

Are you using a cheap auto helmet? If so blink hard every time u trigger the gun.

Raw potatoes will draw the inflammation out. There's some OTC eye drops as well as prescription eye drops available. My last go around with this, I had to go to the eye doctor. He prescribed drops for the pain as well to reduce the risk of infection. i'm trying to remember what they were.
